Day Ten

We just finished our last school assembly…today we saw over two thousand kids in the assemblies. As I reflect on our time here there are a few highlights i would like to share with you. Here are a few “Reasons to serve in Thailand”

1. To known the blessing of working with missionaries who have sacrificed so much to be here and gone out of their way to serve us this week.

2. To see the young people of our church fearlessly smile and interact and with youth on the other side of the world even though they don’t speak the same language.

3. To feel the weight of being the “Paul’s” or the first to share the gospel in some villages we visited.

4. To be engrossed in a culture whose food, language, customs, dress… Everything is so different than our own.

5. To get a hint of the burden missionaries face working with a people who are so beautiful and kind and yet so completely lost and very unresponsive to the gospel.

6. To understand what it is like to hold a sign saying “Jesus Christ” and watch a room full of students with blank faces having no idea who that person could be.

7. To enjoy fellow Christians even when we cannot speak the same language.

There is so much I could add from watching our young people sign autographs like superstars, eating a LOT of new foods, handing out tracks, singing and teaching and laughing, and a lot of smiling and waving. What blessing we have received. Our God is so good and He has been so gracious to us on this trip.
